The Both Hands Assessment (BoHA) evaluates how effectively children with bilateral cerebral palsy aged 18 months to 18 years (MACS levels I-III) use both hands together in bimanual activity, and quantifies any asymmetry between the hands. Scored from a 15-20 minute video-recorded play session, the BoHA extends the Assisting Hand Assessment to children with bilateral involvement. This certification course teaches reliable administration and scoring of BoHA Version 1.2.

UL Botulinum toxin-A

This two-session online training course is designed for clinicians working with children with neurological impairment, focusing on the rationale for using Botulinum toxin-A (BoNT-A) as an adjunct to upper limb therapy. Drawing on the latest scientific evidence alongside 25+ years of clinical experience in upper limb BoNT-A use, this theoretical and practical course will help clinicians determine who, when, and why to consider BoNT-A as part of evidence-based upper limb intervention.

- 09 – 17 Feb 2027
- Online
- 28 places remaining
This comprehensive, practical and interactive online training course across 4 sessions focuses on the implementation of bimanual therapy for children with cerebral palsy (CP). Guided by theory and evidence, participants will gain insight into the mechanisms and essential ingredients for learning motor skills and how to drive neuroplasticity for long-term outcomes. A mix of formal presentations and small group work will provide participants with the confidence and practical skills to immediately apply evidence-based bimanual therapy in their clinical practice.

Mini AHA certification

The Mini-Assisting Hand Assessment (Mini-AHA) measures and describes how effectively infants aged 8-18 months with unilateral cerebral palsy use their affected hand during bimanual play. Like the AHA 18-18, it is scored from a video-recorded play session with toys that encourage two-handed use, with 20 object-related actions of the affected hand rated on a 4-point scale. This certification course teaches reliable administration and scoring of the Mini-AHA.

This comprehensive, practical and interactive online training course across 4 sessions focuses on the implementation of evidence-based interventions for children with unilateral cerebral palsy (CP). Using the latest evidence and knowledge from scientific literature, the course will assist clinicians in making sense of who, how, why and when to use a particular upper limb intervention. The course will provide clinicians with the confidence and practical skills to implement interventions such as modified constraint-induced movement therapy, bimanual therapy and goal-directed training. It will focus on practical considerations, such as the individual characteristics of the child (age, cognition, motivation), the importance of environment, supporting parents and optimising positive behaviours and mastery motivation to achieve the most effective outcomes. Participants will also learn how to objectively evaluate treatment outcomes. A comprehensive course manual and reference materials will be provided.
