Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 21 July 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CPTeaching platform (the "Platform", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

Who we are

The Platform is operated by Cerebral Palsy Group Pty Ltd (ABN 58 641 149 046), trading as CPTeaching, of 74 Faraday Street, Carlton, Victoria 3053, Australia. You can contact us at any time at admin@cpteaching.com.

Eligibility and accounts

The Platform is intended for use by therapists, clinical practitioners, and other authorised professionals. Accounts are created by invitation. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms to use the Platform.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your account, and you must notify us promptly at admin@cpteaching.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation. Sign-in is handled by our identity provider (Auth0); we never see or store your password.

Licence to use the Platform

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your own professional purposes. We retain all right, title, and interest in the Platform itself, including its software, design, and content we provide. You must not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Platform except to the extent permitted by law.

Assessment intellectual property

The assessments made available through the Platform are proprietary instruments owned by us. This includes, for each assessment, the underlying items, the scoring systems and algorithms, the item descriptions, and the associated manuals, instructions, and structure (together, the "Assessments"). The Assessments are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights, and no rights in them are transferred to you.

The Assessments include, without limitation:

  • Assisting Hand Assessment 18-18 (AHA 18-18)
  • Mini Assisting Hand Assessment (Mini AHA)
  • Assisting Hand Assessment Plexus (AHA Plex)
  • Assisting Hand Assessment Stroke (Ad-AHA Stroke)
  • Both Hands Assessment (BoHA)
  • Hand Assessment for Infants (HAI)

You may use the Assessments only within the Platform, for your own professional practice, and in accordance with these Terms and any applicable certification or training requirements. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit the Assessments or any part of them (including the items, scoring, and item descriptions) outside the Platform, whether for commercial purposes or otherwise, without our prior written consent. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.

Certification and accreditation

Each assessment type requires certification before it may be used. You must obtain certification for an assessment type by completing the relevant CPTeaching accreditation course, as listed on the CPTeaching website (www.cpteaching.com), before you may access or use the assessment forms and tools for that type. Certification is granted per assessment type, and holding certification for one assessment type does not entitle you to access or use any other type.

You must maintain any certification, renewal, or continuing requirements that apply to an assessment type in order to retain access to it. We may suspend or withdraw your access to an assessment type if your certification for that type lapses, is not maintained, or is revoked.

Fees and subscriptions

The Platform is offered on a freemium basis. You can create an account and use core features free of charge. Certain premium features are available only under a paid subscription.

  • Fees, the features included in each plan, and the billing period are as described at the point of purchase within the Platform. Unless stated otherwise, all fees are in Australian dollars and are exclusive of any applicable GST or other taxes.
  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically for successive billing periods until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current paid period.
  • Except where required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), fees already paid are non-refundable, and cancelling does not entitle you to a refund for the remaining part of a billing period.
  • We may change our fees or plans from time to time. Where a change affects an existing paid subscription, we will give you reasonable notice before it takes effect, and the change will apply from your next renewal.

Your data and content

The client records, assessments, files, and other information you create or upload ("Your Data") remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and display Your Data solely for the purpose of providing and supporting the Platform. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and consents to store and process Your Data on the Platform, including any personal or health information relating to the individuals you work with, and for using the Platform in accordance with your professional, legal, and ethical obligations.

Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

  • use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law;
  • upload or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to share;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other accounts, or our systems, or interfere with the Platform's security or operation;
  • introduce malware, scrape or harvest data, or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure; or
  • use the Platform to build or assist a competing product or service.

Professional responsibility

The Platform is a tool to help you manage your work. It does not provide medical, clinical, legal, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for your own professional judgement. You remain solely responsible for all clinical and professional decisions you make, for the care you provide, and for your compliance with the standards and regulations that apply to your profession.

AI features

Some parts of the Platform offer optional AI assistance, such as generating a clinical summary from an assessment. These features are consent-based: each one asks for your explicit consent and shows you what information will be sent before anything happens, and the data is processed by Anthropic (the makers of Claude) under commercial terms that do not permit it to be used for training AI models. AI-generated output is assistive only, may contain errors, and must always be reviewed and verified by you before you rely on it.

Third-party services

We rely on trusted service providers to operate the Platform, including Amazon Web Services (hosting and storage), Auth0 (authentication), Resend (email), and Anthropic (optional AI features). Your use of the Platform may also be subject to those providers' terms where relevant. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party services beyond our reasonable control.

Availability

We work to keep the Platform available and secure, and our infrastructure is monitored around the clock. However, we do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend access from time to time for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control, and will aim to minimise any disruption.

Warranties and consumer rights

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided "as is" and "as available", and we exclude all warranties, representations, and guarantees that are not expressly set out in these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for a failure to comply with such a guarantee can be limited, our liability is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.

Limitation of liability

Subject to the section above, and to the extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform. To the extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms and the Platform is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the liability, or AUD $100.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any loss, damage, cost, or expense we incur arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your breach of any law or of the rights of any third party (including in relation to Your Data).

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. If you want to close your account, email us at admin@cpteaching.com and we will close it and permanently destroy the data we hold for you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if it is necessary to protect the Platform or other users. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to address the issue first.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the courts competent to hear appeals from them.
